I need to gain weight, but can't seem to do it and don't have money. What can I do?

Answer:  The easiest way to gain weight is to eat food. Look in your kitchen. Here are some kitchen foods that will help you gain weight. You need to get between 3000-4000 "good" calories per day.

Please contact me or your family physician to get accurate numbers. Here are some ideas.

Oatmeal - Peanut butter - Whey Protein - Banana - Honey - Milk Almonds - Yogurt - Pasta - Rice - cereal - Potato - Wheat Bread - Meat

Remember , you are trying to gain muscle not fat. If you eat fatty foods you are going to gain fat!

I am training today. What should I eat?

Answer: To get the most out of your workout, training session, practice, or game it is best to "bookend" it.

What that means is Protein, Carbs, healthy fat before and the same after. I know it can be difficult to always have a protein shake before and after whether its cost or convenience, but some other solutions are PB&J with a glass of milk or protein bar.

Be careful not to eat too soon or you wont digest and end up vomiting. Also, having apiece of fruit after your session to stabilize blood sugar levels followed by a shake or other protein/carb source will help you recover faster. The faster you can recover the faster you can get back to training and development.

My coach says I need to get bigger, faster, and stronger. What can you do to make that happen?

Answer: First we need to know where you stand now. What is your 40 time, bench press, and other important performance statistics used to gauge your athletic level.

Once you get those numbers your coaches can help you set your next level goals. Write them down while with your coach.

Now, here is where I step in. I will develop a program that will enhance your athletic goals. The drills, lifts, and exercises I will teach you are designed specifically for your sport and customized to your position and goals. Next time you sit with your coach you will have both the old numbers and the new numbers to present him.
